- Within the last 24 - 48 hours, 3 major new variants of
older worms have been discovered quickly spreading across the Internet.
Additionally, hacker web sites have begun publishing sample code to
exploit one of the latest vulnerabilities in certain versions of Microsoft
Windows - almost certainly signaling the birth of a new worm to take
advantage of this vulnerability. The good news: there are patches and

new Swen.A Worm pretends to be a Microsoft patch for Internet Explorer and

CANN20030911a - Avoid The Next Blaster (9/11/2003) |
- If you thought last month's Blaster
worm was bad, you're not going to like this. Microsoft has found new
security flaws in the DCOM RPC subsystem that can leave your computer open

Windows Server 2003, you are vulnerable. A new patch is available from
