New Service Fee Schedule (4/3/2000)
Revised Fees To Become Effective April 15, 2000
To Our Valued Customers:
Each of us at Logical Operators thanks you for your continued business and referrals. Since our founding in 1992, customers like you have helped us to grow, enabling us to add skilled personnel, expand our offerings, and relocate our offices to our current Charleston location. During our eight-year existence, we have prided ourselves on our competitive pricing, knowledgeable service, on-site availability, and insightful recommendations while striving to provide a level of service and skill above that of any other local computer services firm.
Unfortunately, our costs of providing these services have risen significantly over the years, primarily due to rising gasoline, shipping, and telecommunication prices; highly-expensive training, certification, and authorization programs; recent price increases on critical parts such as memory chips; and an increased industry-wide demand for qualified technical personnel. While we have tried to shield you from these incremental cost increases over the years, we have realized that to continue to do so will soon cause our quality of service to become affected. After much research and consideration, we have revised our service fee schedule, to become effective April 15, 2000, to the following:
Network workstation and standalone computer hardware, software, and accessory setup, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair; and general consulting services (on-site, off-site, telephone-based, or online/dial-in) - $60.00 per man-hour in 15-minute increments.
Network server and infrastructure hardware and software setup, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair; and all programming and web development services (on site, off-site, telephone-based, or online/dial-in) - $80.00 per man-hour in 15-minute increments.
Travel will be billed at an hourly rate of $30.00 per hour in 10-minute increments, portal-to-portal from our Charleston office.
Services performed outside our normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays) at the explicit request of our customers will be billed at one and one-half times the applicable service fee(s). Services performed outside our normal business hours for our scheduling convenience will NOT be charged this after-hours premium.
Of course, any services performed under contract as well as any work-in-progress as of April 15, 2000 will continue to be billed at the previously agreed upon rates until completion.
We believe that these revised rates will allow us to remain competitive while enabling us to stay up-to-date on the latest technological advances – this enables us to better serve you. Considering that many of our competitors charge fees up to twice as much without offering our full range of products and services, we are confident that we remain the best value in the area. We intend to continue to offer you the high level of service that you have come to expect from us – along with a few new offerings and surprises in the months to come.
